The Caudwell Group of Companies has been committed to raising vitally needed funds for children in desperate need since the mid 1990s. The Caudwell Charity was registered in March 2000, its founder & trustees frustrated at the amount of hard raised funds that are often spent on administration and management and wanting to make a difference to children’s lives through direct donations.
The Caudwell Group covers all the management and administrative expenses of the Charity. For every pound donated not one single penny is spent on overheads, salaries, rent, electricity or stationary. In addition, the price of every item that is purchased is negotiated, and if it can be got for free, it is, which means that every donated pound works even harder.

The Charity’s first aim is to change the world for special children throughout the UK, with direct donations of treatment, therapy, specialised equipment and dying wish holidays. The second aim is to fulfil a pledge of half a million pounds to the NSPCC’s FULL STOP Campaign, helping to stop cruelty and abuse to children. The final aim is to provide a building in Stoke on Trent, which will serve the specific needs of disabled and sick children.

Fundraising activities have continued to grow, with the annual May Ball becoming a nationally supported event & other big fundraisers include the Sportsman’s Dinner and an award-winning payroll giving scheme. Chairman & founder of the Charity, John Caudwell, continues his hands on approach by completing an annual sponsored bicycle ride with destinations so far including Spain, France and Greece!

The Caudwell Charity is a Special, Efficient and Unique Charity. Special because it helps children in desperate need. Efficient because every pound raised goes directly to the children – these two points making it truly Unique.
